What is Sandboxie?

Sandboxie 64-bit runs your programs in a sandbox that prevents them from making permanent changes to programs and other data on your computer. It offers safe web browsing by running your web browser under Sandboxie Classic protection, which means that all malware downloaded by the web browser is trapped in the sandbox and can be trivially eliminated. It has improved privacy as your browsing history, cookies, and cached files collected while browsing the web remain in the app and are not leaked to Windows. Prevents wear and tear on Windows by installing the software in an insulated sandbox.
Since the release of Open Sourcing sandboxie in two versions, the classic version with an MFC-based user interface and an additional version that includes new features and a completely new user interface based on Q’t. All newly added features target the positive branch, but can often be used in the classic version by manually editing the sandboxie.ini file.
